Getting there...

Buky village  is located in the Cherkasy Region of Ukraine, and is easily accessible by both air and ground transportation. 182km/113 miles south of Kiev city, Ukraine, 317km /196 miles north of Odessa, and 575km/ 357mi. Buky Canyon is accessed by major highways and well maintained roads.

A 2.5 hour drive from Kiev makes it the closest major city in Ukraine to Buky Canyon. Bus or train service option is also available.

From Dnepropetrovsk: The best way getting to Buky is to catch a train Yasinovataya-Uman, and then get to the bus station on the city bus (about 15-20 minutes). From Uman, the bus is going on a regular basis to the village of Buky (about 2-hour ride). See bus schedule here. Alternatively, same train can get you to Potash station, where you can get to the bus stop on the road by walking several kilometers, there you can catch the same bus that comes from Uman or bus going via Mankovka, the last option takes about half the time, but it requires some effort. The main drawback is the frequency of trains Yasinovataya-Uman (odd numbers going there - back even).
